Maybelline Fit Me - Matte and Poreless (New shades in the UK!)
So, let me start from the beginning. When Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless first came to the UK, I was more than excited because I had heard nothing but good things from many of the YouTubers I like to watch, howwwwweverr.... they only had like 3 shades for women of colour: 330 Toffee, 340 Cappuccino and 360 Mocha. Out of the 3, 340 Cappuccino looked like it would work for me but boy oh boy was I wrong! That b*tch oxidizes and made me look like I should be singing and dancing in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. So to make that shade work, I bought 330 Toffee to mix with it and that seemed to work-ish.
Now we fast forward to a few weeks ago...
I was browsing on Superdrug (as you do) and what did I see? 335 Classic Tan! Finally Maybelline extended their shade range in the UK. They now have a total of 36 out of 40 shades stocked in the UK. The shades are as follows:

15 of the shades are for people of colour which isn't tooo bad for a drugstore brand.
The Specs:
- Retails between £5.99-£6.99 (depending on where you purchase it)
- Designed for Normal to Oily skin
- Refines pores
- Absorbs shine
- Natural finish
Does it refine pores? well it's hard to say as my pores aren't usually a problem but it doesn't make them worse so that's a plus. Depending on how you apply the foundation depends on the finish however I wouldn't say it has a "natural" finish as you do look pretty matte with it on. It can look cakey if you apply too much though...that's something to note. It lasts about 6 hours before the oils consume my nose on my normal-combo oily skin which again isn't too bad. Now on to the colour 335 Classic Tan...
This is a good match, not perfect but good. For me once it oxidizes it doesn't look bad however it does look a bit too light when first applied. The undertone is slightly orange but no where near the Sainsbury's bag orange 340 Cappuccino had me looking like and it was pretty easy to blend. I have found with Maybelline that their "yellow" undertones for darker skin do run a bit orangey-red but thats just my opinion...
All in all I would recommend this foundation. For the price it's a no brainer plus Superdrug always have offers on Maybelline products so you can purchase it for even less than it's retail price! It's a pretty good foundation and I will continue to use.
Definitely L's approved!
